2009 Conference - IT is CHANGING

President's Message
By Joan Cortlund
Technology is constantly transforming how we live and how we learn in ways many of us never imagined. Having spent much of their lives immersed in a digital world, students today hold a different view of technology and indeed, the world, than many of us of older generations. Join us this year as keynote speakers Lynne Lancaster, co-author of, "When Generations Collide," offers perspectives on deploying educational technology over the generations, and futurist and author Dan Rasmus shares insights on how people will work in the future.
ACPE is structured to meet the unique needs of school district technology directors and key technical staff. We invite you to join us for pre-conference seminars and regular sessions that address current policy, management, training, and technical issues facing educational technology today from project management and virtual servers to collaboration tools. As always, there will be opportunities to network with peers from other districts, share your experiences and expertise, and explore ways to tackle mutual challenges.
On behalf of the ACPE Board, we look forward to seeing you this year as we examine how technology promises continued transformation of our lives and our learning at the 2009 ACPE Conference - IT is CHANGING.
